Tracheostomy heat and moisture exchanger

The tracheostoma heat and moisture exchanger is designed to warm and humidify the breathing mixture, prevents condensation in the breathing tubes, thereby reducing the possible risk of cross contamination.

  • The tracheostoma heat and moisture exchanger is made of polymer materials.
  • Cleans the inhaled air of dust and impurities, humidifies and 'lequalizes" the temperature of the incoming air in the presence of a tracheostoma.
  • The use of various anesthetic gases does not affect the performance of the heat and moisture exchanger.
  • The humidifying element can be made of hydrophobic paper or foam material, which cleans the air, saturates it with moisture and keeps it warm.
