For over 30 years, Cochlear has delivered numerous 'world firsts' in hearing technology.
With Cochlear, you can count on three things: technical product innovation, world-class design, and lifelong commitment.
Introducing Cochlear products: Implant System Cochlear ™ Nucleus® CI ; the bone conduction system Cochlear ™ Baha® ; exoprosthesis of the outer ear of Cochlear ™ Vistafix®; auditory brain implantation Cochlear ™ Nucleus® ).
Sound processor Nucleus CP800 uses the latest innovation in the field of processing input audio signals, which in its essence is a new approach to programming based on the surrounding sound environment - these are the functionality of SmartSound ™ 2.
These programmable signal processing options assume 4 individual listening programs for different situations, improving the quality of the auditory perception and providing a full and optimal sound transmission to the auditory nerve.
SmartSound 2 includes a mode for everyday use (Everyday), as well as the program "Focus" (Focus), "Noise" (Noise) and "Music" (Music).
Automated setting Everyday automatically adapts to various acoustic everyday situations, for example, to the sound environment of the home or at work. It is assumed that this will be the main program that the patient uses throughout the day. To run this program, the user simply needs to turn on the processor.
The other three listening programs are designed for more complex and non-standard sound environments, for example, for situations where the speaker is in front of the listener, but there is background noise (Focus mode), or in the presence of an acoustic environment with intense background noise, such as a restaurant , noisy street, stadium (mode "Noise"). There is also a separate program for listening to live or recorded music on the audio carrier.
In addition to these high-tech digital signal processing capabilities, the new sound processor has the functions of automatically detecting a phone or an attached accessory. Now, patients no longer need to press many buttons to switch to telephone coil or accessory mode. Just hold the phone to your ear, and the processor will automatically switch to the desired settings. In case of using accessories after their connection, the sound processor recognizes them independently. It is important to note that, at the request of the user, these automatic functions can be disabled or used in manual mode.
All the above-mentioned functionality was realized thanks to the high-tech electronic filling of the sound processor. Nucleus CP800 operates on the basis of a custom-made chip for digital processing of audio signals, which combines four microprocessors that work synchronously. Thus, in the new device it is possible to carry out more than 180 million operations per second, providing the patient with unsurpassed sound quality.
Since, in addition to the perfect technology, for the users are also important characteristics such as design, comfort, reliability and ease of use, Cochlear has included in the sound processor Nucleus CP800 a number of design features.
First of all, it is certainly a compact and attractive design. The Nucleus CP800 is the company's smallest and thinnest sound processor. Lightweight, economical and stylish design, small size provide increased comfort for fastening and wearing, both for adults and for children. Depending on individual preferences, users can choose for themselves various options of socks, color solutions and sets of accessories.
There is also a choice of batteries for the sound processor, namely 2 air-zinc batteries, a standard battery compartment and a compact battery compartment. It is important to note that any of the batteries is completely recharged very quickly, providing the user with continuous work throughout the day.
For convenience and safety of patients and their parents, the sound processor has the function of locking all buttons, the battery compartment lock, as well as special locking horns and protective covers. In addition, the sound processor Nucleus CP800 has a completely new design, which uses the most advanced and durable materials, and to ensure high reliability of the device, numerous studies have been carried out. All the main processor connections are now constructed from titanium with Teflon coating, which prevents erasure of contacts and malfunctions in the processor.
Separately it is worth noting that the design of the Nucleus CP800 sound processor has a new level of protection against moisture ingress. This is very important for users, since an active lifestyle is not the reason to leave your sound processor at home. Nucleus CP800 can withstand the effects of sweat and dirt, as well as humidity and dust, in accordance with International Standards. Powerful microphones of the sound processor are protected from moisture with the GORE-TEX® interchangeable protection, which guarantees consistently high sound quality.
REMOTE CONTROL DEVICE CR110
In the system of cochlear implantation Nucleus 5, in addition to the usual components - implant and sound processor - a new unique component. This is a wireless remote control CR110. Now users are able to easily control and control their auditory capabilities, and parents can be sure that the processor of their child is working fine. It's not just a remote control, the Nucleus CR110 is the only remote control system working in two directions, with a color screen and intuitive navigation. This component of the system is a complement to the sound processor: each of the basic functions can also be easily accessed using buttons on the body of the processor itself. All changes to settings and functions will be immediately displayed on the color screen of the remote control.
The remote control Nucleus CR110 allows you to make a simplified diagnosis and tell you how to troubleshoot. To check the status of the sound processor, simply press the "Cochlear" button and the device will check the state of the sound processor, battery compartment, cable of the transmitting coil and the coil itself.
The troubleshooting guide is built into the device itself, so patients and their parents will be able to solve a number of problems and failures on their own. Colorful, intuitive pictures and messages (in the user's native language) will appear on the screen, for example, work sensors, battery information, various fault notifications, or the current status of the sound processor.
For the convenience of binaurally implanted patients, the Nucleus CR110 device has the function of simultaneously controlling two sound processors, i.e. such users only need to have one remote control device.
